Proposed Projects
City Hall is embarking on another wave of high-rise and high density development projects.
The projects below are in various stages of review and approval with the first two in more advanced stages.


(1) 11 Acre includes Mirabella
The proposal Includes a retirement community and retail stores in clusters of multiple towers up to 15-stories high to be built in the last government piece of land in Foster City which is located  between the City Hall/Library and the Peninsula Jewish Community Center.

(2) Pilgrim Triton, aka Triton Towers
The proposal includes eight major structures in four phases labeled A thru H. Each phase will have one to three buildings up to 8 stories high which will include commercial and office spaces and 740 housing units. This is located west of Hillsdale Blvd in the current one-story office complex near Carl’s Junior.

(3) Chess Offices, aka Chess-Hatch
The current proposal includes two 11-story and one 14-story buildings.
It will be located on Chess Drive facing the exit to Highway 92/101.
       
(4) Company Development Proposals
(a) Gilead Sciences Corporate Campus Master Plan       
Gilead’s proposal is to expand by replacing three low-rise buildings with towers which are eight to ten stories high. The Gilead Campus is located on Lakeside Drive near to the 3rd Avenue boundary of Foster City.
(b)  Electronics for Imaging (EFI)
EFI is proposing to expand its current campus on 3rd Avenue with additional buildings.           
(5)  Charter Square
            
             The proposal is to rebuild the commercial complex located in the corner
             of Shell and Beach Park Blvd, the area where the local Post Office is
             located.
   
       
These proposed projects are covered in more detail in the “Development Project” section of the website, with greater emphasis on the 1st three because they are in the more advanced stage of development planning and there numerous issues and concerns surrounding them.
