- We appeal to you, please do not take away from us the use of our last piece of public land by building the Mirabela. Public land should not be used for private gain and the benefit of a few select individuals, at the expense of depriving the general public and the community of its use and enjoyment. Our children and our youth, who are our future, need a place for their school. The residents have other needs and uses for it. A retirement community is not the highest and best use of the 15-acre site, our last open-space public land.
- The 15-acre public land is at the heart of Foster City and should express the character of the community and its residents. The Mirabela because of its private exclusivity will not represent the heart and essence of our community. And its planned multiple structures, to include buildings as high as 14+ stories, will not blend with its surroundings. Mirabella will destroy the beauty of Foster City.
- We request that there be no towering buildings that will lord over residential homes that will block their vistas, cause light pollution, and pierce through the homes to compromise privacy.
- While we understand you have to make a profit, nonetheless, please pursue your return objective will endeavoring hand-in-hand to uphold the welfare of the residents and the enhancement of our community.
- Please help us save Foster City.
It is our hope that Sares Regis will be a socially responsible developer.
