Environmental Issues
Pressures and damage to the environment results with overbuilding. Unfortunately, the City officials have solely focused on the building aspect while plans and programs to mitigate increased traffic and expand infrastructures, facilities, and services to meet the needs of an expanded working and resident population have been inadequate, if not nil. Listed below are the environmental issues we raise.

(1)  Traffic Problems

Additional traffic caused by these projects will gridlock Foster City streets.

(2) Pest Infestation

When the ground will be dugged so deep during the construction of the numerous planned towers, swarms of rats
which are underneath Foster City land will come out and infest the community. The rodents on the current site will
seek new homes during the demolition and excavation phase.

(3) Community Disruption with Prolonged Construction

With over 36 new buildings proposed to be built in the course of the next few years, the residents will have to
endure major disruptions and inconveniences to their lives.

(4) Other Environmental Hazards

Overbuilding results in increased levels of noise and pollution.
